Employee Driven Safety: Creating Transformational Change with Employee Engagement

It is easy to “talk the talk” when it comes to safety – prominently featuring Target Zero type slogans on promotional materials.

However, the true health and safety of employees do not lie within the hands of a company’s management, communications, or EHS teams. The number one driver of incident reduction in the workplace is a strong employee driven safety culture, where every employee works together as a team with an unrelenting commitment to the goal that they all return home in the same condition they arrived. Each and every day.

Listen to Fran Sehn, Principal Consultant of FxS Risk and Safety Consulting, as he reviews approaches and processes that other organizations have used to successfully build and monitor employee driven safety cultures.

During this session, you will learn:

  • How to evaluate your existing employee driven safety culture to identify whether you have an environment that supports employee involvement or blocks participation.
  • OSHA’s recommended practices for safety and health programs.
  • Ways to encourage employee involvement using surveys, interviews, meetings, and team-building exercises.
  • The 8 steps you need to take to create transformational change with employee engagement.
